Hi, hope this time it will post..
Here's my issue:
I bought a Gigabyte Nvidia GT730 2GB GDDR5 for my computer but it randomly freezes after loading. I thought at first, "well this has to be a power issue", since my PSU was pretty old.. therefore bought a new Thermaltake TR2 S 650W. Same issue. My computer has a MSI H61M-P31/W8 with an Intel Core i3-2100 @3.10GHz and 4GB ram. HDD 500GB, running a windows 7 ultimate SP1 64bit.. Basically it starts perfectly, loads into windows and would eventually (after sometimes not even 5 minutes) freeze.. no beeps or anything, just freeze.. I'm thinking about re-installing windows but since I'm not even sure it would help, i start by asking here.. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Solution
I'm not an expert so don't take my advice if is no good but maybe there are some disturbances in your pc, maybe they are not connected well there or a piece got old or scratches...other things from some insects or maybe it was a time that a little water got there...check all your pc in detail at your pc dealer, every piece, tell him to be sure that all items are well connected and clean your pc from dust at least twice a year xD
What is old and shaggy, replace it if it cannot be fixed.
Btw, see if your windows does have it's genuine activated...if not, search it on google or on this site for an good adress xD

I was before that just connected to the intel integrated graphic card.. I couldn't find the proper drivers either so it was listed as Standard VGA adapter.. that's why i got a new card.. could that be an issue as well actually?
When i installed my new card i did a clean install and just selected the drivers.
There, in case it helps :) thanks

Maybe it is.. I'll try to do so.. thanks for the quick answer.
I'll let you know.

Okay I went back to the shop and we tried on a computer there.. The card works just fine... So could it be a driver conflict even if i did a clean install? My motherboard drivers? The BIOS? A windows not being registered kinda thing? or still hardware, but without the card it works just fine.. Dayum I don't know..

I can't find it in my BIOS..
My BIOS version is E7788IMS v3.6, if that's any help...

There is a "Integrated Graphics Devices Configuration" section though which contains:
Initiate Graphic Adapter [PEG] can choose PEG or IGD only.. I believe it has to be PEG anyway no?
Integrated Graphics Share Memory [64M]
DVMT Memory [256MB]
IGD Multi-Monitor [Disabled]

In the "Integrated Peripherals" section there is the Onboard LAN Controller (I don't think that has any relations though), the HD Audio Controller and a mystical HPET. All three enabled.

ok so that's not the issue.. still not sure where the freeze is coming from..
Also, when I tried to install the correct video driver Intel HD Display Adapter from MSI website, the screen will go all crazy fuzzy.. do you think it could be linked?
I checked my BIOS version and it is the latest available for this board..
Maybe I should try to make a clean windows install.. Could that have an impact?
Thanks

I bought two of these same cards, the Gigabyte GT 730 GDDR5 2GB

It would appear that both cards make 2 different computers crash the same way. Both cards were bought brand new.

Other video cards work fine in the same computers. It took me a very long time to work out that both cards were causing the issue as swapping between them did not help. I swapped every other component in the computer and it was only after changing to an ATI video card that the computer became stable. It hasn't crashed for days since then.

Model written on the cards is GV-N730D5-2GI (rev. 2.0)

The only other hint about this problem is that playing YouTube in Chrome seems to make the GT730 card crash faster most of the time, but there is still a bit of randomness to the time when the card crashes. Sometimes it would run for many hours but usually the time was more like half an hour.
