Hi,

Who can help me with the following problem:
My Android devices can't access internet on my 2nd WAP. My laptop en windows phone can access it, no problems. I have configured the 2nd WAP as a slave with same passw, channel, mode, security etc as the master. Also gave the slave an IP address outside the range of the master.
So the Android devices connect to the 2nd WAP but then do not get internet access. You see a "!" on the connection.
I have tried to modify the connection on the Android device and gave it an IP address within the range of the master but it did not solve the issue

Also tried to search for the solution online but could not find other ones.

What should I do?

many thnx for your help

You APs should not be on the same channel as your primary router. They just interfere with each other. Set your AP to a unique SSID so that you can troubleshoot which WIFI source you are connecting to. Consumer grade WIFI does not work like commercial. Sometimes you can't use one SSID on your WIFI sources.

Thnx for responding. Perhaps I was not right with the wording. The SSID is not the same of the slave, I have made it slightly different. The master and slave are connected via a Cat5 cable
