Hi guys! I'm aware there are other threads about this same issue but nothing helped me so i'm desperate here. So let's start at the beginning:
I exchanged my gtx 660 gpu for a friend's gtx 550 for some time, and it worked just fine, didn't had any problem installing or using it. Now I got back to my 660, installed it and I cant get it to work, first the pc wouldn't even turn on properly, it turned on and off than on again just ignoring my graphics card and only recognizing my on-board nvidia 7025, monitor stays black until I plug it on the motherboard.
Tried installing the nvidia drivers, didn't work.
Device manager don't even show the gtx 660
GeForce experience, too, just recognize the onboard 7025 gpu
Tried disabling the onboard on the BIOS, didn't work too
gtx 660 appears to be working, the fan is spinning

I really don't know what else to do now, maybe the gtx isn't getting enough power from the power supply? Note that it worked fine for 2/3 years and I believe it was working fine on my friends pc too. I'm yet to test it on other pc and see if it works.

specs:
Win 7 ultimate 64bits
processor amd phenom II x6
8mb ram
asus m4n68t-m motherboard - Nvidia geforce 7025/ nforce 630a integrated
evga nvidia geforce gtx 550 worked fine, gtx 660 not recognizing

help me I can't live with this horrible horrible on board gpu

Solution
Yes test it in another system first.. It is possible that it is dead or it could be that it was not pressed firmly enough in the slot or something like that.
