On certain games like arma 3 and space engineers (only games i've played so far on this) i've hit 80 - 100 cpu usage, ik the 3570k shouldn't be bottlenecking with the 780ti but what could cause high cpu usage when playing games?

Thanks

Any CPU will bottleneck any GPU in some circumstances. Some older games such as Starcraft II can still bring a liquid nitrogen cooled Intel 10-core monster CPU to its knees (in part because 9 of those 10 cores go unused). When we say "never", we generally mean "rarely".

There isn't much out there that's faster than your 3570K, so even if you upgrade, you might expect ~20-30% improved performance out of something like an overclocked 6600K, which most would agree is not worth several hundred dollars.

Space engineers has alot of physics and mathematical calculations that are done to make it the game it is. It is a very cpu intensive game, so yes 100% load in a game like that is fine.
