Looks good except for a few areas.

That power supply is junk, it has low quality capacitors and is known to fail well below its listed wattage. I chose a tier 2 PSU (according to the PSU tier list) from XFX. The SSD I switched to a faster SanDisk model.

Honestly don't bother with the 6600k on that motherboard. You need a Z series board to make a k CPU worth purchasing. If you do go with the 6500, you also don't need a CPU Cooler, as the stock heatsink will be perfectly fine for it. Those savings should be enough to get a bigger SSD, and a better PSU than the CX series unit

Okay, so I have about £120 to spend on a SSD and PSU (this is after removing the heatsink and the psu and the ssd)

What would you recommend?

Something like this would work well. The best all around SSD (with twice the capacity of the originally listed one), and a very good quality power supply. Comes out to about 125. If you can free up a pound or so, I'd also suggest going with 2x4GB sticks of RAM as opposed to the one 8GB stick. The board has 4 slots IIRC so upgrading will still be straightforwards.
