hello! i bought a Corsair CX750 powersupply and a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3 mobo it just doesnt power up i dont know why i changed the powersupply with my other one 500w and it worked ... my question is why doesnt this new powersupply work with that mobo
Is the mobo in the case? Have a CPU and tick of DRAM in it? If so might be the mobo is shorting, likely a missing standoff or the like, might want to bench it:
Yes i used all the standard cables it just doesnt work it gives me a red led light and its gone instantly the fans dont even spin nothing but when i put it on another old f2+ mobo it works

yes it did have a cpu and dram in it i only tried it with putting the mobo loose inside of the case o.o it still didnt work that way do you think its shorting? i already swapped psu but i felt sad and wanted to know what could have been the cause i was so lost i still kinda am
If just loose in the case, about any of the mobo traces could be shorting, need standoffs and the mobo attached to the standoffs to keep the traces from touching metal which can short and even fry the mobo
You said you tried it with the mobo loose in the case, I explained that can cause a short, or even fry the mobo - would bench it and troubleshoot per the link I provided earlier
power supply wattage ratings is the rating for the output of the untis. power supplys need to be match to the wattage that the pc is going to be using. ie cpu wattage and the gpu wattage. if the cpu is a 100w and the gpu is 170w.
you need min 270w on a power supply. that why people use power suply calultators to make sure the min watatge is met for there pc.
