Getting a quick setup computer from Cyberpower (building my own isn't really my thing, I've done it before). I'm rocking the i7 6700k with a gtx 970, a bit overkill on the cooling @ Corsair Hydro H100i V2 240mm (4x push-pull corsair performance series af120 fans). Upgraded the stock fan to a corsair one as well.

Now, I don't know if I should continue the Corsair trend I've got going on for the PSU or not, because even the 650w Corsair 80+ Gold Certified PSU costs $56 more than their "1000w Standard 80+ Gold power supply).

Should I upgrade from the standard and spend $56 more for less watts even though the 1000w is rated 80+ gold? (yeah I know 1000w its a ton but it's a promotional offer)
I also noticed the some of the brand-name PSU's are usually also marked "certified" whereas this one is just "80+ gold". Don't really get that.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Legenda in Aeternum
What is there 1000 GOLD, saw one from them once that only had about 770 on the 12 volt (the 1,000 advertised is peak power), and what 650 model of Corsair, if CX they are made with weak caps....sorry not a fan of CyberPower - I've had the misfortune of having to work on some of their rigs, and besides being overpriced they often use cheapie components. Could be better off getting a friend to do a build for you

http://s.cppc.co/spec/getspec_share...80 Plus Gold Power Supply&x=PS-129-104&f=www

And the Corsair is "Corsair CSM Series CS650M 80 Plus Gold Certified Modular Ultra Quiet Power Supply"

The CX is listed on there at a cheaper price but I kind of glossed over that one too.
