FX-8350 Overclocked temps with H55

So now I'm overclocking my FX-8350 and before starting to Overclock I stress tested my system using Aida64 for about 20 mins.

According to Speedfan my temps were about 46-48ºC.

Then when OCing I attempted stress with Prime 95 (because everyone says to use it) and the FX was hitting 60ºC in less then a minute.

Then I attempted Aida again and the temps were like 50-53ºC for a 20 min test.

What temps should I trust? I'm at 4,4GHz as of this moment.

Download Speccy by Piriform. And then match it with aida/prime. Whichever comes closer to speccy will be displaying the right temps.
How can I say so? 2 apps are better than one!

Never heard of that program neither saw people using it...

Hi. Those temps are correct. Prime 95 is very stressful on FX series. The 8350 runs hot, you need very good liquid cooling to keep temps down when overclocking.

VRM's get very on hot on FX series and now that you have removed air cooling from them they could potentially overheat and cause damage. Be careful

But wait: Even with 4.3GHz @ stock voltage it runs over 60°C after a minute or so. So even at stock it'd run pretty hot. Considering that the H55 is on the same level of the Evo 12 (which people say is a nice cooler) how can the CPU be running so hot?

Also, I've seen a guy running the 8350 @ 4.5GHz with the H55 with an average of 55°C, how can this be?

Sounds normal to me for a prime95 test. Lots of factors come into play, how tight your cooler is, if you tightened it the correct way, if the thermal paste is cured, ambient temperature, humidity.

I get a max temp of 65'C with my Corsair H100 @ 1.55 Volts and 5Ghz during gaming. 70'C in prime95. I have an 8320 but it's the same thing. These chips are very hard to keep cool

I doubt those temps because your running at the maximum viable voltage with a regular H100.
Plus, maximum temp is 62°C, yours is way over that..

Alright my friend. You sound like you know what you're talking about already and don't need help.

Good luck.

Sorry I didn't meant to be rude. I just found hard to believe.

Don't you think any stress testing program would be equally stressful? After all, they work on (almost) the same fundamentals...
