Okay, so. My friend has a laptop with windows 7 installed and a 128 gb SSD. Problem being now.. The hard drive is completely full and we can't seem to find what is taking up all the space.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, Blubberykollis.

Have you remembered to disable the paging file? It could also be filled with a lot of System Restore points. Check out the suggestions from this link: http://www.howtogeek.com/125923/7-ways-to-free-up-hard-disk-space-on-windows/. It has an option which helps you analyze your disk space and this could make it easier to identify what might be filling up the drive.

You should also check out the tips for SSD users: https://www.maketecheasier.com/12-things-you-must-do-when-running-a-solid-state-drive-in-windows-7/. Those could save you quite some space and drive health.

Hope that helps.

Have you tried running the Disk Cleanup tool which you can find under Windows Accessories on the Start Menu or by right clicking on C: in Explorer and clicking the button there? Once it has run through once, click the Clean System Files button and let it scan again.
You'll most likely find that there are plenty of temp files and old system update files that can be cleaned up.
