Will I need to reinstall windows after changing motherboard?

Hello, i plan to upgrade to a different motherboard and CPU in the future from my current asus z170-p. They will both have the same intel chipset, so I was wondering if this would require me to reinstall windows. Thanks in advance.

You won't know until you try.
But a fesh install is always recommended.

And then you'll probably run into licensing/activation issues.
