at first Centos Linux installed and ran perfectly.
for some unknown reason Now I can not get past the first opening page.
it shows a lot of numbers and locks up
I get the same screen when trying to install linux.
I tried to install linux 10 different versions all with the same result.

Tried all the bios settings I could think of but still nothing.

Was working perfect before but I did not see the bios (cos it was working I never thought to look)

I see the link states the EDID is screen issue.
I only get this error when trying to start Linux (or install)
If I use windows 7, 8, 10 there is no such problem.

I will try to see tomorrow, getting a bit late here.

Appreciate your help.

Can you please try with latest Ubuntu 16.04. CentOS 5.5 is very very old and has very old drivers (from 2010 which predates your motherboard).

If that still does not work try boot by adding 'nomodeset' to your kernel boot parameters

[Edit] Seriously kernel version 2.6.18 is WAY too old to properly support your hardware. VERY likely this is your issue.

At leat try CentOS 7 which has updated kernel/drivers (2.6.18 has 10 year old kernel/drivers)

Thanks
For all the help.
After your suggestions I switched the monitor from another Pc and all works.
However I find it strange that it was working OK for 4 weeks.

Never mind, is working.
I will do more testing to see exactly where the fault lies.

Again Thanks...
