Error: "Trust relationship between windows 7 workstation and primary domain failed"

I understand this issue seems to be resolved by logging into local user and changing the network to a workgroup and back but problem is I can't login to a local user because the username and pw are unknown..
Any suggestions?

You can also use an administrator domain account that has previously logged to this computer if you have access. If you don't you should get in touch with someone that does. Seeing that this is a domain PC someone must be tending to it...

I wasn't being clear enough and I am the tech support btw lol, Trying to login with the domain user get's this error message, the pc isn't even seen on the network. I researched and found that the solution would be to login as a local admin and reset the connection. However, most local admins are disabled in win7 unless you have enabled them previously. I was looking for a solution to enable it somehow, but I have fixed the issue, i'll post it so anyone researching knows:

Fix: -Shutdown PC, unplug network cord
-boot in safe mode, allows you to bypass a login
-after you get into the desktop plug cord back it
-change it to join workgroup then back to join domain
-double check that network discovery is on
boom

Since you are tech support I suggest you keep a common local admin for your workstations for cases when you have to service the PC offsite or can't "talk" to your DC(s) for whatever reason. Just my 2 coins ... Have a good one!

Ya we usually do, although this office was setup awhile ago and we couldn't find the config files to show us what they used for the login. Thus this being a harder issue than it had to be.

I understand there are ways to do this when you have access to the desktop. Problem being is if you don't have credentials you are quite limited unless you're onsight to do something with a program you can run. If you know of some way that I haven't seen please indulge me.
