Hi

I bought four TP-Link PowerLine Adapters ( two TL-PA7020P KIT ) 1000 Mbps.
By replacing four Netgear 200 Mpbs Powerline Adapters I got faster and more reliable connection. Great !

But sometimes, when a computer (directly plugged to one of the adapters) downloads, I experience a network problem I describe below. This seems to be related to downloading through a peer 2 peer protocol (Steam or World Of Tank for example).

Here's a description of this network problem :
- When it happens, no computer can ping the router ( SFR Box NB6 @ 192.168.1.1 ) through the Ethernet connection.
- Computers can ping the router through WiFi connection.
- Because the router/gateway is unreachable, Internet can't be reached.
- Computers can ping each others through the router ( PC1 --Ethernet--> router --PowerLine--> PC2 )
- Communication with the router works again after about 5 minutes

I know this seems router related, but this never happened with Netgear Powerline adapters.
The router's IP adress seems blacklisted for 5 minutes, but I'm not really sure what's going on.

I tried so many things that it would be too long to write here.
Any information or suggestion is welcome.

Sorry for my english :)

Check for a firmware update for the router, see if the power adapters also have updated firmware they can load. Has this happened when any of the adapters have a system downloading? Have you tried moving them around (especially the one that is near the router)?

Thank you for your answer.
The router and powerline adapters are already using the last firmwares. No beta f/w available.
I tried to switch the adapter near the router with another, but failures still occur.

What do you mean by "system downloading" ?

You said when a computer downloads it kills access for others, does that happen on any of the powerline adapters? If everything is on the latest versions, have you tried resetting them? Try a different port on the router, maybe a different cable? Check with TP Link support? Maybe a router issue where it just can't reply due to the load on it or some bug in the software.

Only peer 2 peer downloads (which means multiple simultaneous connections) kills access to the router for all computers on the network, including the one downloading and even directly ethernet connected to the router computer. It happens on any of the powerline adapters.
I tried to reset the adapters, I changed the network name, I tried to change QoS settings on it.
I changed the port and the cable on the router.

I tried to post on the TP Link forum, first I didn't received the confirmation email. The third email adress worked but now my post seems to be waiting for moderation.

The fact that the router can't be reached even through direct Ethernet connection when problem happens make me think of a router issue too, but it never happened with Netgear powerline adapters. Also I can't change my router because my phone service depends on it.

Edit : My post has been published on TP Link forum. 1 view within 8 hours :'( Of course no answer.
