Hi, I am a IT student who was asked to do a small wiring job. An ex-teacher of me asked me to pull a ethernet cable from his living room (where a small switch with 4 ports is located) to his office through the attic. The distance is about 60 meters. My question is how much should I charge him for this job?

Depends on the complexity.
Do you have to cut, patch, repaint wall surfaces?
Drill holes up into the attic and down to the office?
Do you have the tools for this?
Or, you could try a couple of powerline devices.
