Hi, I just build a sistem with Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor / Enermax Liqmax II 120 96.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler / Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card and Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard. And Windows 10 Home. I inicially bouth G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory, But only 8G can be instolled or the system won´t boot at all. Then I got the same but 2133 since I read it was mor compatible. Still. Nothing works but 8gb. Or I don´t get the option to go to bios at all. Any idea about the problem??? I´m a newbe, and build the system for basic medium video editing. What I had done wrong. Thanks in advance for your help I and find a wway even to start to trobleshooting. Nicanor.

Solution
No problem.
It could be a CPU issue, then (caused by the bent pins, maybe).
Try installing a graphics card and testing. See if still same issue.

Ok. Don... of the four beds for ram on de mother board, A2 y B2 work with the two type of memory I got 8 2400 amd 8 1320 from G.Skill Ripjaws V Series. Both DDR4. These means that the mother board is the problem? - I´m having an issue with the GPU main fan, witch it was working fine before... I ad this info. just in case makes any senses to you.... Let me know and thanks for your time and help.

You mean the actual one in the PC. I do have to unistall almost everything again since this is the PC I´m working with, but if you really think that will help I can do it again... since I´m pretty desperate at this point. ;-) Thanks for quick anwser.

Hi alexoiu, I did see some pin not totally strait, but was not sure if I did it when chek-proving... so I exchange it for an Asus Z170-DELUXE. Now... I got only to the BIOS but the black parts of the interface showed some redish color noise. Now, I can just get to the main pre-Bios Screen... all greanish noise and the images won´t cover the full screen, a couple of inches on the left black. I´m not using the graphics card so -I´m asuming- the system will be more stable. ... Any idea? New motherboard so that should be ok, right. My first system build... I kow I sound dumm but... I will keep trying. Thanks a lot.

I read so many things... and I know so little. But I understood finally that the chip has a part dedicated to graphics! the GPU! so I suddenly read something and I give it a try to use the Asus graphic card and no the one from the Core i7... and it Booted. Reset the Bios... and... It started working... first tried 1 8gb Ram, then the second one, then 2 more one... didn´t work. Tried with another pair -another brand- and everything is working. I still almost can´t believe after so many days stock. So, this was for me the solución... NOT using the GPU from the Chipset. Its was you suggested too I just find out. THANKS for your help.
