So I'm wanting to down size my build by quite a bit and want to make sure everything will be compatible in the end.

Here's the new case I want to use: Corsair Graphite 380T

You can see my current parts below but the motherboard and possibly power supply (The current one isn't modular so Im not sure how well that'd fit) are in need of an upgrade. I also would like to get a new CPU with a new motherboard as I think I could use an upgrade ;)

Also if you have any other recommended portable cases please tell me! I'm open to suggestions, the corsair one is just the one I found first.

Price Range: <= $500 (not including the case)

Overclocking: No

Looking to Upgrade: MOBO, CPU (Intel), and PSU (if needed)

Reason: I'm moving into college this fall and right now lugging my current build every weekend would be a huge pain.

Current Build:

Well if you want to keep your ram you could go with a Z97 or H97 board and i5-4xxx. Do you plan on not overclocking again?

2x8GB kit of DDR4 is only $60-80, so grabbing an H170 or Z170 board and a 6th gen chip isn't outside the budget really.

Power supply can certainly be replaced, even with a smaller output to gain modularity.
