Hi everyone,

I'm building a new PC, my old one config was:
CPU AMD Phenom II x6 1090t with Corsair H105 water cooler (I'll use the cooler on the new one) @4.0Ghz
8GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair XMS3 CL9
ASUS Crosshair IV Formula
Sapphire R9 280x Vapor-x (I'll use on the new PC)
PSU Cooler Master Silent Pro 1000w (I'll use on the new one)

New PC:
i7 6700k Skylake (With the H105)
16GB HyperX Savage 2800MHz CL14
MSI Z170A xPower Titanium
I'll use the same PSU and GPU from the old PC

This new build is better than the old one?

Ps.: Sorry about my bad english! haha

We have an excellent classifieds section, there are still plenty of people who enjoy the Phenom II X6 you should have no problem moving that.

I already have friends interested on my components, but this is good to know for a future need. =)

I have new doubts about motherboards and CPUs that I'll buy.

What is better, MSI Z170A XPower Gaming Titanium or Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 5?
I'm thinking about power consumption and the Gigabyte looks a way economic and costs less money, the MSI have a better performance and a higher price, the performance differences are that much for gaming?

Another question is, I'll have much difference for gaming between Core i5 6600k and i7 6700k?

Performance wise you will not notice a difference between those two boards, its likely they will run identically. Either one is a good choice.

For gaming the 6600k and 6700k are nearly identical, you don't need to spend the money on an i7-6700k to game, the i5-6600k will do it just as well.

Hi again.

Which is better, 32GB DDR4 CL14 2133MHz or 16GB DDR4 CL14 2800MHz?
They cost the same, if the performance difference is'nt that much, I'll get 32GB 2133

Is there any difference between using 4 single ram modules than a 4 modules kit?

Don't buy 4 ram modules, get 16 gb in a 2x8gb kit. Running 4 of them wears on the memory controller more and there is 0 performance benefit. 32gb right now is a waste of money nothing you ever could play will need it.

The 2400mhz memory runs faster you probably wouldn't notice a difference, 3000 mhz maybe you would. Getting a 2x8gb kit is the best idea.

Hello again!

I bought MSI xPower Titanium and i7 6700k
Now I have another problem, the Ram modules are out of stock, I've found some DDR4 HyperX 8GB 2400MHz Predator, Savage and Fury single modules (not on a 2x8 kit), I need 16GB, if I buy 2 modules of the same, they'll work in dual channel? (the price is almost the same)

Dual channel will definitely work (just install the memory as per the instruction manual). In theory they should work fine together however its far preferable to buy them as a kit but if you don't have a choice buying 2 identical models will most likely work.

I've found a kit 2x 8GB 2400MHz CL12 at a lower price, I'll buy this one, its better than 2 single 2800MHz CL14 because of CL probably, 400MHz will not give me a "real" difference.

For now, that's all, I'll post some pics in a few days of my new PC. =)

Thanks again. =)
