So i've had this motherboard sitting around in a random box and i'm planning on selling it soon. So my question and concern is since its been sitting in the box for so long its collected dust so obviously the socket has collected dust aswell. Will the mobo be fine if I just clean it up with compressed air? Lastly can someone find me a link to something cheap thats anti-static to be able to ship the mobo safely? Also what can i use as a alternative to cover the socket when shipping?

Solution
Hello... 5) use rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs on the MB, if ya wanna make it all shinny... your finger will create/tranfer static to the circuits... avoid around or remove the battery before heavy cleaning B )
Hello... 1)I would not use compresses air on the CPU socket, those pins/connections are fragile... (if applicable ) I suggest sucking (vacuum) and Not blowing on them.
2) Go to your local computer store... they should have many around for you.
3) Go to your local comp store... OR cut and fold a piece of cardboard larger than the clamp mount... use masking tape to secure.
4) Typically I will post a picture of the WEI test and the hardware installed page... too verify a good Board and fetch more $$ B )

So if the person buying the mobo should be fine although the whole thing has collected dust? It isn't a TON of dust. I can rub my finger around the mobo and it comes off.
