Hello everyone.

Laptop Spec:

- Lenovo Y40-80
- Using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (using Windows10 64bit before problem occured)
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz Intel586
- AMD Radeon R9 M275X 2GB DDR3
- 12GB RAM
- 500GB HDD

my laptop currently have a problem involving AMD driver and Intel display driver. Last night I played World of Tanks with my friend when suddenly the screen went flashing and dark. Then the BSOD appeared saying the driver was unsuccessful to reset the display driver and recover from the timeout. It also said that there's a problem with 'atikmpag.sys' file. After I restarted, the BSOD appeared again.

So i googled and found several nearly same issues and solutions in the forums like windows7/8/10 and in TomsHardware - updating AMD and Intel driver, uninstall and install drivers from AMD site and Lenovo site, replace the 'atikmpag.sys' with the one in the AMD setup folder, but failed. I also reset my Windows (I'm using Windows 10 at that time) and failed. I formatted it with Windows 7 too see if the problem is solved, but failed too (the BSOD with 'atikmpag.sys keeps appearing). Then I formatted my laptop once more and tried to install the Intel and AMD driver one by one, and the Intel driver was installed and worked successfully, but when I installed the AMD driver, BSOD appeared again showing problem the same with 'atikmpag.sys'.

I've tried to install the drivers/use the solutions through the Safe Mode but failed too.

So, i've used WhoCrashed software to see what's the problem and the result is as shown:

P/S : In 'Architechture' line it should show 'x64' as I installed 64bit windows 7 ultimate on my laptop.

So what does this mean? Is there's something with my graphic card or is it the problem with the software? Why did it showed a third party driver is the probable cause of this problem? Any solution would be very, very appreciated. Thanks!

If you've reinstalled all your drivers correctly, formatted your PC and done all that was shown in the forums as per the software solution; then it's probably hinting towards a problem with your Graphics card. To be sure, try arrange for a graphics card (possibly from your friend) and fit it in to see what's going on.

My guess for the "Third party driver" comment would be because you've manually installed your AMD and Intel drivers.

In the meanwhile, please do visit the Sysnative Forums to get better help regarding BSOD's and other hardware problems.

Well thanks for the recommendations. But it is weird to think that the graphic card is the problem because I just bought this laptop last December 2015. It should have no problem like this. By the way, I'll try to get to the forum and see if any other solution is available. I'll keep tracking this thread if anyone have the solution/maybe know the cause of this problem.
