I'm wondering if this is a solid choice for me to use? I like to play a lot of fps games and any games in general. I won't be buying this until the 1070 comes out and was wondering if I should get that instead?

i5-6600 isn't worth the money, a 6500 will not bottleneck anything and is cheaper. Swapped out the Z series motherboard since the CPU is locked. Replaced the SSD with the best overall option with twice the capacity. Replaced the PSU with a much better rated one. Also doubled the RAM quantity to 16GB, though you could downgrade to 8GB and more than likely be fine. Total price comes out to a bit more than 1300 but is a much better build. And I would agree and say either look at the 1070 or the RX480 depending on pricing when it's released.
