Hey all,

I posted this thread yesterday in an attempt to try and find which motherboard and CPU I should go for but after further research, I have made up y mind on a couple of things. I've added the CPU of my choice, updated my GPU, and got rid of my PSU. NOW, the question has changed... What would you recommend regarding a motherboard, PSU and a CPU Cooler? I don't want to spend another $400-500 on these three components, so for all three, I'd like to keep it under $300. Overclocking will be a possibility in the near future, but for now, not so much.

** And maybe these parts could tie into the whole red theme I have going on? :)

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K

GPU: MSI R9 390 8GB

Case: Corsair Spec 02

PSU: Gonna need a higher powered PSU...

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133

And not sure that it matters, but a WD 1TB Caviar Blue HDD and a Kingston 120GB SSD

Any recommendations on a Motherboard, PSU and cooler would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Solution
I'd recommend the i5-6500 $195 and the Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $135 you also now have left overs from your budget that you set about $120 if you still haven't bought the gtx 960 or can still return it to get your money back you could get a gtx 970 or r9 390

Compatible memory should also be on the list.

Thanks, I appreciate the recommendations. I decided to take you up on getting the R9 390 because from what i've seen, its better than the GTX 970 by all means. Instead of the 6500 I decided to go with the 6600K for $5 more at Micro Center. Any cpu coolers and PSU's you'd recommend?
