Hello everybody. I recently set up my old Z210 workstation. I put a GTX 750 in it and wanted to have a PC that I could put multiple Linux Distros on there. So I could learn some more about Linux. I used YUMI to put Arch Linux on the USB. No matter what as soon as i would select the USB it would go straight into windows and just completely ignore the USB. So I gave up and an hour later I tried booting into Windows. Windows now will not boot up... I get an error that says something along the lines of this "Intel Boot Agent GE v 1.3.63.Copyright (...) " and some other stuff. But I really do not know whats wrong now. And now when I try to boot from USB its like it ignores it and pop up with that Intel boot agent crap. Please help before I throw this thing out the windows.

That's the Arch Linux prompt, not an error!

So it's working; you now need to type (I think)

/arch/setup

But, before you do that, read the installation documentation. Better still, choose a distribution that is friendlier to beginners - Fedora, SuSE, or Ubuntu would be good choices.

Edit: Installation is not quite as I described. Read fully the instructions here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/installation_guide before trying again. Arch Linux is very much for the more experienced user and the setup is text based.

Well i completely disabled Network Boot. I could not seem to find "Full Initialization of USB devices". So now instead of that other thing popping up. I get a thing that says "Non-system disk or disk error, replace and strike any key when ready" So it think my HDD is broken? I have like a hundred extra ones I can try. But this HDD is brand new so I can not see it being broken.

*UPDATE* I tried a new HDD, Still getting an error. So I receded the cmos battery and then went into the BIOS pressed the options to restore the bios to original settings. Now when I boot it up it just goes into a bootloop. It turns on for approx. 5 seconds then shuts off and then turns back on, then shutting off. I let it do this about 10 times then I just unplugged it. Im so confused now. Im gonna be so mad if I broke this thing

I managed to get it to stop being dumb and it booted up and Im getting the Intel Boot agent crap again. So im back on square one. These motherboards are known for being junk. I have about 5 more of these computers that the motherboards just died on. Im hoping this one does not do that aswell.

Well now I got it to boot into the USB. I got a common error that people usually get. Because Im just that lucky haha. But anyway they said I should burn it onto a disk. So Im in the process of doing that right now. I got an error that says 127 root@archiso. People say that putting it onto a disk should work. Crossing my fingers

I learned that archlinux is not a good one for beginners. Im gonna go with linux mint and ubuntu first. Thank you tho!
