My son and I are working on our first build. Using a Z170 Pro Gaming mobo. Powers up fine. No beep codes and all LEDs are okay. Not receiving a signal to the monitor. Have tried VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports. Have also tried the DVI and HDMI ports on the GPU.

Mouse and keyboard have LED backlighting. When I plug the mouse into the USB ports, the LED turns on. I have tried all ports with the mouse and it lights up with all of them. When I plug in the keyboard I get nothing. Again, have tried all USB ports.

I have tested the monitor, keyboard, and mouse on another PC and they all work fine. All ports (VGA, DVI, and HDMI work when connected to another PC).

Any other suggestions before I disassemble and take the mobo back? I have a Corsair 750W power supply and I have check all of the connections.

Thanks!

1| It's best if you could state your full system's specs inclusive of your connected(trying to and those that are) peripherals.
2| Have you made sure to follow through the guide linked below?
3| You should be using the display port output options off the GPU if you're working with a discrete GPU instead of connecting to the onboard. Disregard the previous sentence if you're working with the iGPU alone.
4| It's a good thing if you tried working with your core components outside of chassis above your motherboard box aka breadboarding.
