It may seem really dumb, but some hard drives need drivers in order to operate. Most recent motherboards support driver installations for them from the bios. If your bios doesn't support the driver update process, try updating your bios. What motherboard do you have?

Ok, I assume you are talking about the Asus 970 Pro Gamer Aura motherboard. (good choice) Try and find the latest bios update for the motherboard, download it on another PC, and look up how to install bios update via USB stick. (sorry, i have never had to do a bios update before) If that doesn't work, try to install the HDD drivers using the disc that has the drivers from Asus. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to do. You might want to call Asus and see if their support department can help you. The only thing I can say if you get to this point is that you should give as much information about your hard drive as possible, and good luck.

Cheers!
