Proving discrepancies stopping modification help he keeps everything in his room so he is the only person that has access. He is kinda disabled. He is 40 but 16 at times emotionally. His mom is convinced it's all crappy internet service but alot is him!!!! He is always messing with the settings. He plays games alot and watches tv etc. He has at least 3 cell phones linked the dvr some how wii xbox desktop laptop this is all I can think of right now. Oh camera for live feed. He says he is running it all of his data plan on his cell to not interfere with our home service. I figured out he is using his computer or gaming system as a bridge off the same network. And the ip addresses are always changing. I have an mbox for my tv which randomly restarts now all of a sudden. I think we have an address conflict but he gets mad when I ask him anything. Like I'm lying. Trying to get him in trouble or something. I don't know alot but thanks to this I'm learning ALOT!!! I dId go to frontier moderm online but no clue what to do once logged jn. Also I changed the channel we were using because he had all the wireless devices and both networks. Off same channels.

Solution
1. Read the manual or contact the manufacturer of the router in order to set up a password, or if you know how, change it on him.
2. Buy a router lock box so he is unable to reset it. For example, THIS.
3. Don't let him use the devices you use and are having the issue with. Password secure everything.

Solution
Change the password to the wifi setup and don't give it out to him and also do not let him have physical access to it as most wifi routers can be reset by hitting a button causing it to loose all settings and the password. The wifi routers setup password can be different (and should be) from the actual wifi password to use the network. I know many routers allow you to save the current configuration to a file that you can use to quickly put the router back to your settings if it gets messed with or reset.
