Hello.

So I have an Asus z170 pro gaming motherboard, I7-6700k with corsair h110i and 16gb of hyperx fury ram.

Yesterday I got everything together and it booted up normally and got me to windows. Everything was fine except it only detected 8gb of ram in windows and bios. So I reseated the ram but after this, I can't get into windows or bios (just a black screen).

So far I have tried testing all possible combinations with ram, cmos battery removal and checked that all cables are connected properly. Also tested nvidia gfx card and integrated one on 2 different monitors.
Edit: Tried building it without the case, even though I have checked that it doesn't short from stand offs.

When I power it on, all leds are working fine and fans are spinning normally but still black screen.

Looking for a second opinion on this matter and maybe suggestions about what I might have missed.

Thanks.

I had a very similar problem with the same motherboard. I almost took the board back. On a hunch, I pulled the RAM cards out and reset then in the slots, making sure they clicked in fully on the top and bottom. After that, everything booted up fine.

Hope it works for you!
