Hello guys,
I've been using a Sandisk Ultra 32GB USB 3.0 flashdrive for about 6 months. Last week the flashdrive was affected by a VIRUS (A folder named Skypee has been created automatically just after infection), which made the drive write-protected.
Since it is protected now, I can't either format or delete any data from the drive. I've tried scanning the drive with AV programs, and they detect the malware but ain't able to delete or quarantine the infection because of the protection. Also tried the disk re-partioning and low-level formatting using tools suggested by Tech sites. Methods like CMD, Registry Editor etc to disable the protection went futile too.
Please help me get rid of this infection and retrieve my flash drive back in working condition..

Hey there, technikki.

Well, judging by everything you've tried, it really seems like the flash drive might have reached the end of its course. You could still check the manufacturer's website for a formatting tool and see if it works on their device and if that doesn't prove useful, perhaps you could contact the customer support for more info.

Hope that helps.
