Alienware x51 r2 components to a new case.

Hello everyone. I have been debating whether or not to buy a gtx 970 for my alienware x51 r2 but due to the useless external psu that comes with the x51 r2 I don't think I could run the card properly. I was thinking if i could buy a new case and a new psu, I could possibly move the x51's current components to the new case and install the new psu meaning I would have enough power for the 970. Is it possible to move the x51 r2's components to a new case with a new psu without having to buy anything else?
