Suddenly my pc is dead. It tries to start three times, gives a "ping' and only the "power-on" led is on. No video signal detected, no new hardware installed, no new memory, no possibility to acces the boot system. I already exchanged the 2035 battery, no difference. It's dead...it allways worked fine, specially after adding a SSD. What to do?

Solution
For the first thing you can use easyBCD to correct the boot menu.

The second could be a faulty update of windows. Is service pack one installed already? You might uninstall some other updates. Have a look at the history of updates for that.

Hello Guys,

I replaced the powersupply: the PC made a different noise, but no display.
I replaced the videocard and there was light!
It didn't start up and after running al kinds of different "repair" programs (checking the SDD etc), I decided to use an old "Acronis" backup.

The PC runs now, but hase some strange habits....
During start up, it finds two Windows 7 operating systems (only one is available and installed). During setup you can choose one of these two. It doesn't matter, wich one you chose, it starts booting, and the system is running.

A second thing is that no updates are found (and installed). I also tried all kinds of "repair" software (fix it etc), but nothing helps.

Any ideas?

Helpstar: easyBCD solved everything! Perfect program!

After installing 138 updates by SIMPLIX pack, update is running again!

Problem solved: thanks all for your help!
