Does Amazon.com (US) ship items to India?

The items that are sold by amazon itself ship to India but other sellers don't. Also not all items are shipped.

Has anyone from India ordered from Amazon US? I have some products in mind to order from Amazon.US because those items are not available in Amazon India.

What about transit insurance? Returns & refund policy? If anyone in India has ever ordered from Amazon.US please share your experience.

Including the custom duties, shipping & taxes, Amazon.US is still cheaper than Amazon.in.

Almost a $100 more from Local sellers who are reaping us Indians. It feels like hell.

I am not sure if it is safe to order from abroad.
