Hello!
No screenshot to attach now.
In BIOS FSB is set to 400. Straps 333 and 101.
RAM lowered, to stay at 400
5-5-5-12-2-50 (one DDR2 pair is slower) 4-4-4 or 1 dont boot :)
All rest on mobo's auto. Tab, were you chose CPU multiplier is mobo's auto.
IDE chaged to AHCI
Don't recall other changes.

HWinfo reports FSB to jump from min 10 to to max 500.
CPU v from 1.01 to 1.23. Temps all cores below 57
Rest of it's "info" is mumbo-jambo to me.
Q9650 is in(on?) P5Q SE PLUS.

What am I doing wrong?
Or are such jumps normal?
No malfunction during gaming or serfing.

It's normal until you get any stability issues. If you OS is functioning normally, then there's no need to worry.
If you face an unstable or crashing OS, revert to the old settings.
