Select Games Cause My GPU To Stop Responding

Guild Wars 2, Rocket League and Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 constantly cause my GPU to stop responding. When ever I am playing one of these games the screen will randomly turn grey for a second and then resume displaying the game but I will get a notification from windows saying that my graphics device has stopped responding and recovered. After this happens it causes the game to have an unplayable amount of tearing and also causes software to stop recognizing my GPU. For example, afterburner no longer detects my GPU and cant use my fan profile and I cant monitor the data. I am wondering if anyone has the same problem or a solution. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/3N2Vnn (My PC specs for reference)

Seems that both your GPU and Your PSU are damaged i got that very same problem with an old 6970 from ati still you have the problem only with those games or do other games cause that problem too anyways check both the PSU and the Video Card to see since it could be one of those or both

I accidentally hit best solution and I do not know if my GPU or PSU is damaged but anyway how can I check? I really really hope that this is not the case as I have a 980 and I am not even in high school yet so its kind of difficult for me to earn money.

I had this same issue and the cause was a broken GPU.
I had a R9 270 that kept saying on select games that the driver crashed and recovered. I replace the gpu and the problems went away never had them since.
