i7-6800K compatible X99 motherboard w/ white theme

I have a friend who is ordering parts for a new build. She's decided that she wants the new broadwell-E i7-6800K.

What's important to her: That the motherboard have white color in it, to match her planned white build.

What's important to me: Her i7-6800K being compatible with the X99 board that she ends up ordering. I know in theory that all X99 board should work with a BIOS update, but I'm also aware that there are many new X99 boards that are releasing now and within the next month.

Budget: Her high budget is $400 US, but of course less is always better if possible. Thank you in advance for your help.

I'd go with the cheaper one but it depends on teh features she wants.

+Hlsgsz Great choices. The only feature that she'd probably miss from the Pro is the integrated wireless. Personally I think the X99-A II is the way for her to go. Thank you for your research.

I would go with the X99-A II aswell. The extra $100 can be put towards a quality wifi card and something else in the system. Though, personally, i would never have my desktop not connected through a LAN cable. However good the wireless, it just can't compare to a cable connection.

Agreed. Everything in my household is wired, with the exception of my mobile phone. Below is the cabling I use.

Hi @cantloupe. No worries. In answer to your question, no she hasn't confirmed that the i7-6800K is compatible with the Asus X99-II. My friend had to move out of her apartment unexpectedly and therefore had unforeseen moving costs. She's been purchasing the components piecemeal, but I believe that she's up to the very last component before her build can be assembled.
