I used to run windows 10 previously with resolution (1920x1080) and had to reset it for some reason,
but after the reset the max resolution is (1366x768)recommended it won't change no matter what and i have 2 graphic cards
Intel HD 4400/Nvidia 840M
MY laptpop specs are
Core i-7 4510U @ 2.0~2.6
8GB RAM
HP Pavilion 15
This low resolution is very irritating.
I guess when i reset the window the HD Adaptor type somehow changed to Intel HD Graphics Family from Intel HD4400 idk.

Looks like your Intel HD driver is installed, but your Nvidia 840M looks to still be using generic drivers.

http://www.geforce.com/drivers Go through the fields and pick the appropriate driver for your Notebook.

Reset/or fresh Windows install, the graphics driver Windows installs for either your Intel HD or Nvidia 840M will be generic and won't get the most out of either Graphics until you install drivers from them directly.

Man i installed the latest drivers for nvidia too from their website yet the resolution is the same, wait ill attach a screenshot, when i install the drivers manually through the device manager (have disk) option it says windows ecountered a porblem while installing the drivers and if i run the setup it says "does not meet the minimum system requirements" eventhough ive double checked that the drivers are specifically for windows 10 64bit intel 4th gen.

Ok you shouldn't need to manually 'have disk' install graphics drivers.

http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2767677/clean-graphics-driver-install-windows.html

Go through that, also look at lower of page mentioning
On Windows 10 systems it may be a good idea to stop automatic driver updating after doing a clean install, to prevent Windows from changing drivers that are working to ones that are potentially problematic, as follows:

Disable automatic driver updating. Uninstall both Nvidia/Intel HD then reboot. Make sure you have the driver package for both ready to install.

okay so i tried uninstalling them, but it still wont install the original drivers that came with the windows, (downloaded from HP/s website)
it says "does not meet the minimum requirement"
it lets me install the HDFAMILY Graphics which again give the same shitty resolution.....
I,m Stuck
but when i select " Manually select from the list" and install HD4400 Graphics it says 'Windows ecountered a problem os not supported'
Nvidia's graphics dont have a problem at all for installation.

lets just assume i had the same HD Graphics FAmily driver before
but how could the resolution change from 1920x1080 to 1366x786 out of a sudden just cause of a reset
is there any other way i can get the resolution back?
