need help picking PSU

Ok ,I found this build on other thread and find it suitable for my new PC that I'm going to build .But the PSU watt is still bugging me .Won't a 550W PSU will be enough instead of 650W PSU ?

A 650W PSU is suggested http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm . I chose the 970 so I chose a 500W PSU. The max TDP of YOUR card is 275W max. That strongly suggests a 550W PSU would work just fine. My card's max TDP is only 175 so theoretically I would be fine with a 400W PSU. Do I want to cut into safety margins like that? Nope.

You could use a tool like this

Use the basic would give you the ball park power supply needed. If your a power user expert.

Thanks for the answer , I have used http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator to calculate the watt needed .Here are the result http://outervision.com/b/rPSVSx . It recommends 533 Watt ,that's why I thought that 550W or 600W is enough . I just don't want my electric bill goes skyrocket because I use my PC like 16 hours a day especially on holiday for gaming .

For a setup with a 390 a 650w is a good choice , but a 550w would run it.

Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory 11W - 11W
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive 4W - 20W
Gigabyte Radeon R9 390 8GB SOC Video Card 68W - 275W
Total: 108W - 441W ..............Doesn't give you much room with a 550w , but it can run it , 650W would be better.

441w is max probably would never reach it , but that is why I usually prefer 650w with a 390.
