Hello,

I was wondering if getting 38-40 degrees celsius while gaming is ok for my cpu, and if it is normal for my H100i V2.

My Specs Are:
i7 4790k Clocked at 4.0 GHZ (Sometimes goes up with turbo-boost)
Evga Gtx 980 SC (Factory Overclocked)
Msi Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard
16Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB At 2400 MHZ
250GB Samsung 840 Evo
1TB WD Black
Corsair H100i V2 AIO Liquid Cooler
NZXT S340

Thank You For The Help,

At the high end, liquid coolers definitely provide an advantage over air coolers.

38-40c while gaming is exceptional and is lower than many coolers achieve at idle. You could easily overclock to 4.4ghz and beyond with that cooler and be completely fine in terms of temperature. In terms of performance gain, it would diminish the further up you went, but it's up to you if the benefit is worth it.

Is there much of a difference that the liquid cooler makes? And would it be worth it to overclock, to 4.4ghz with the temps raising?
