GTX 1080 Crysis 3 issues

in certain areas of crysis 3 i have like 100+ frames on my gtx 1080 which is beyond overkill. But often when i get close to things like glass and fog the frame rate knocks all the way down to 30 fps..... How can i stop this????

Well you have to watch temps and stuff. I believe there is a how to somewhere here on toms hardware. 4.4 or 4.5 is usually what i see people clocking them at. The amd cpu's are good for multi tasking but in reality they kinda suck for gaming when compared to intel cpu's.

Yea lol that cpu is bottlenecking that gpu big time. You will need to apply a hefty overclock on your processor to handle the gpu and games in general if you dont already have it overclocked. Standard for that cpu is like 4.5 ghz with a decent air cooler.

I really don't know a safe clock for my CPU,i want to overclocke it, but how would I go about it? I have a hyper 212 evo but that's it
