I've talked about my situation before, so I won't get into details.
But the skinny is this:
2 houses, 300 feet apart.
Current set up is: House A: ISP (50mps)>>modem>>Powerline adapter>>Cisco Router (ISP signal strength cut in half by the time it reaches Cisco)

House B: Mounted in window is a TPLink WA5210G set in Universal Repeater mode. This picks up the Cisco signal and distributes it throughout House B. The end signal strength is 5mps at best.

I'm wanting to get a LEAST 10mps at House B, so I got a 2 Ubiquiti Nanostations M2. Watched videos on how to set them up. They read each other GREAT when I set them up (in the same room). When I put them each in a window of each house pointed at each other, hardly any signal at all.

What puzzles me is how can the Cisco/TPlink connection, which goes through an insulated wall, some trees and a window (no directional antenna) be so strong compared to 2 nanostations designed to do point to point?

When I stand half way between the two houses with my phone, I get GREAT signal from the Cisco and not so great with the nanostation. (the speed is about the same for each though)

Yes, I know windows weaken the signal. I've read story after story that at 300 feet, a simple window is not issue for the signal of the Nano's. Also, I gotta believe they SHOULD have a LOT better signal then the micky-mouse set up with the Cisco/TP link, don't you think?

Does anyone have any advice they could give as to what I can do or maybe I haven't described enough? Or, if you can PM me, maybe we could talk live?
Thanks.

http://www.skroutz.gr/s/5102889/Ubiquiti-NanoStation-Loco-M2.html is this your nanostation?Page is in greek just check the picture!

If those are your nanostations, well, your TPlink has a 12 dbi antenna and the nanostations have 8dbi and that's a big difference in signal strength.

Also, keep in mind, when you install anything with an antenna, you should clear some cm from obstacles , else the signal strength loss is big!

Have you tried running a cable outside for each device and setting them up without the windows in the way? Some energy efficient windows actually have a metallic film on them. That could be attenuating your signal. Do you have a reasonable line of sight, or are there trees in the way? Raising the units, they are weatherproof, might improve things.

Just to let everyone know, I mounted a Nano 2 in each window INSIDE of each house, pointed at each other. Yes, there is a tree in between with low hanging branches. I can barely see the window at house A.

I'm getting a full connection! I'm happy and things have been working GREAT!
