My computer shuts down after playing a few minutes with games like rocket league while streaming and overwatch. I can't find the cause and don't know if its hardware or software related.
Specs:
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor
PSU: CORSAIR Gaming Series GS600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS
GPU: Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
RAM: Corsair xms3 1600mhz 2x4gb 9-9-9-24 1.65v
CPU cooler: Zalman cnps10x
SSD:OCZ-TRION150 240gb
HDD: seagate ST1000DM003-9YN162 1tb 7200 rpm

i'm using several programs like siw core temp hw monitor and cpu-z
temps idle on my cpu are around 14C under load before it restarts 33-35C
temps idle on my gpu are around 40C underload around 78-80C

i'd also like to state i've done memtest 2 passes no errors and just to be safe i swapped it out with a friends ram and it still reset around the same time
i thought it was my psu unit so i also used a friends unit and it resulted in the same reset.
friends ram - Corsair CML8GX3M1A1600C10 8MB (1x8) 1600 MHz
friends psu - Corsair cx500

Download AMD Overdrive for your temps, 14C is probably BS as it's less than the ambient temp inside most peoples houses. OD gives you a thermal margin reading instead of a temp but its pretty easy to figure out.

I would probably still favour it's a power issue for the GPU, your friends PSU isn't a fantastic model and 500w is under what is recommended for the card anyway. Considering you're running an FX CPU which is more of a power hog in addition it would explain why you're still seeing the problem.

downloaded amd overdrive doing some testing, also i figured it wouldn't tell me much swapping the psu since his is a lower tier but i don't have any other psu to try,

the event viewer shows, event 41-kernel power The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. the event shows for both streaming and when i use occt.

updated idle temp for cpu is 31C atleast thats what amd overdrive states
