I've built the attached PC to order. I'm pretty confident about most of the parts, but I have a few questions:

1) Online PSU calculators indicate that I need around 400W power. So the corsair 550w should cover me, right?

2) I have no idea about cases. Is there much difference between cases? I Don't mind the simplest, ugliest, cheapest case- but with adequate cooling. is there a difference between them in where the fans are, etc?

3) Should I order some extra fan? How would what work? I have experience with PCs getting awful hot, especially in a hot climate like mine.

4) The motherboard is adequate for a gaming PC? ( I realize its not high-end)

5) I've decided to skip a SSD for now. Hopefully would impact performance too much.

Thanks a lot

Solution
1. Yes.

2. Some cases are a lot easier/quicker to build in than others. Airflow varies, as does the number of mounting points for fans. They can have different front panel connectors. But ultimately it's a box for holding components, so it's not like a really cheap, crappy case will cripple your system.

3. 2 fans is often sufficient.

4. More than fine, you could even step down to a B150 motherboard and be just fine.

5. It would be a very good upgrade to get later on, but it's not a major problem to go without an SSD for now.

1, yes
2, wont matter too much, just make sure the ratings are good
3, I have 3 case fans in mine and runs well
4, Motherboards won't affect gaming performance
5, Longer load times but still faster than on a console.
