Gtx 1080 or gtx 1070 sli?

Hi,i cant decide between the two.i have a 4k screen so i want the best berformance i can get,should i go for one 1080 or two 1070s?i have just enough money for 2 1070 right now so idk.the rest of my pc is i7 4770k,16gb ram,800w psu.also would the cpu bottleneck these new cards?i previously had 970 sli wich were pretty good only a handfull of game didnt had sli profiles or good scaling.so im thinking id want some more performance compared to the 970s that i sold to my friend.the 1080 is kinda faster with like 10 fps idk the performance of 1070s sli couldnt find anything on google but im thinking it should be better with them new sli bridges right?:/.thank you.

How do you recon he will have more VRAM by going SLI? That's not how it works. I doubt the 4770k will bottleneck the GPUs.

Since you have used SLI and your OK with the short comings then there is no doubt 1070 SLI would be faster. I personally won't be doing another multi GPU setup anytime soon.

You would get more performance with the 2 1070's and you would have more VRAM and an 800w power supply is plenty for 2 cards, just remember you have to use the high bandwidth SLI bridge.

I'm pretty sure a 4770k will bottleneck a tiny bit but will still have plenty of performance.

thank you for the answer,yeah ill guess ill go with 2 im used to it.before i always had crossfire and then sli.i wont go with the refference tho ill wait for gigabyte or msi to come up with their 1070s hope is this month.
