Hi guys i have a fx 9590 with a crossfireX r9 290s but the cpu gets too hot and i dont want to deal with that crap anymore. Want to upgrade to the Intel Core i5-6600K but i will also need a new motherboard so any suggestions are welcome and appreciate. The water cooling i have keeps the fx 9590 at 60-65 at heavy load so I assume this is enough for the Intel Core i5-6600K since it uses way less power. My psu is 1000W gold. Any advise will be appreciated and can't wait to get rid of this damn oven. I also wanted to know if there will be any bottleneck with my graphics cards if i upgrade to the Intel Core i5-6600K

Definitely get a Z170 based board since its a 6600k so you can overclock it.

I particularly like ASUS, I built my wife a PC using the ASUS Z170-M-PLUS its excellent. If you want to go further the ASUS Z170 GAMING is good as well.

Every CPU is different but having a water cooler will help you quite a bit. I think 4.4 is doable no problem on either board.

This is a good guide

The ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme is the top overclocking board if you really want to go nuts.
