Hello,

So soon I will be building a pc and I have been struggling to find good components without any bad reviews that scare me from buying it on amazon.

So I was looking at the ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard and the reviews on amazon on the 3 and 2 star were saying it broke and one said that the pins of the USB were bent and had to pay £140 to repair which scared me from buying this product.

So I would like to know is ASRock a good brand for motherboards and is it reliable?

Solution
The Rock has very good mobos, which is why they have climbed to #3 overall in mobo sales since splitting off from Asus a few years back, they Asus and GB are the only mobos I'll use for client builds

than make sure you are getting a motherboard with a 1150 socket, consider checking compatibility on pcpartpicker.com to make sure everything is compatible.

Asrock K7Vt6 is identical to a Asus k7v600-x the boxes of the k7v600-x (462 cpu)is also similar to a later model asrock with a 939cpu even have a similar x on them I've seen other asrock boards that look like asus so I just guessing their the same company. Asrock been around for about 12 years that I know of.

Well I just fryed my usb cuircuit with a 1tb backup device the AsRock seem to ba a Taiwon conpany but this usb that failed is made in china. I have another the same on the way its an old mb g31m-vs2 great with audio but graphics bog down needs its own graphics card and the correct ram mine I got s/h with the wrong ram has 1x333 needs 4 up to 32 with a 800 because I using 32bit software max is 4gx800 ram and 32gx800ram if a 64bit. just a note get the correct ram don't use an underspec ram in a all onboard mb. And before the asrock lovers get offended my new board I just got is an asrock by choice.

Weird thing happened this morning when I booted my Asrock computer that the usb had stopped working on I removed the usb drivers did hardware search cionnected and unconnected and reconnected looked for drivers reinstalled the instillation cd tried everything yesterday and the day before well as I booted it this morning i removed the speaker plug and as I did it brushed past the usb port then the usb drivers suddenly started to reload still can't believe it after all i tried the previous days but the usb is up and running perfectly again guess I'm going to have a spare MB when the new s/h board arrives or I get another computer. feeling lucky today.
