Hey this is my pc parts and this is my first build.

Everything works fine except the h100i v2 which is always running on max. I have installed the corsair links and its reading the temperatures of everything fine. Problem is no matter what I do I cannot control the fan speeds.
Running windows 10 pro and corsair 4.2.3.41
It shows me that the fans are running at 2700 rpm
pump is at 1950

Solution
Review the installation details.
1. The pump module comes with thermal paste pre-applied. Usually that means it has a thin plastic sheet stuck over that to protect it, and you MUST remove that plastic film before mounting the pump on the CPOU case. Did you do that?
2. There are several electrical connections to do:
(a) Wire from pump unit ending in a 3-pin fan connector - plug into mobo CPU_FAN header;
(b) Cables from 2 fans on the radiator both plug into sockets on the side of the pump unit;
(c) Cable from pump unit plugs into a mobo USB header.

I presume you have used the two fans that came with this unit since you have not said you changed to others. You say the the Corsair Link software is installed and working. In fact, most seems...

Make sure you have the USB cable plugged into the waterblock/pump unit properly. Try removing it and plugging it into another USB header if it looks like it's plugged in properly. The temperature monitoring info comes from the motherboard, the fan control comes from that cable.

In fact, most seems to be working and exhibiting symptoms of high CPU temperature that requires high fan speeds. That's why I asked about the plastic protective film over the thermal paste.

Turned out that I needed to edit something in the bios. You need to edit Cpu_fan and set it to manual in my case. Then set the fan heading to the maximum. From there I was able to control it.
