How do I disable the onboard graphics for my ROG Maximus 8 Ranger motherboard?

I'm trying to put a MSI GTX-970 GPU in but I'm having trouble disabling the onboard graphics for my motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is my first time.

go to the windows in the start menu search for Device manager, open it , in the graphic adapters disable the current adapter and then shut the system down and install the new card.

qam10 in the bios look for primany dispaly if it set to auto set it to peg/pci. then look for muilt monitor support in the bios set that to disabled to turn off the onboard gpu.
