About a year ago I purchased the MSI GS70 Stealth-037 (https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GS70-STEALTH-037-17-3-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00JKCHRXC). One day about six months in, it wouldn't connect to the internet and instead showed this symbol at the bottom right (http://imgur.com/CFUjsRZ). I just simply restarted the laptop and it fixed the problem. From that point on, the problem would occur once or twice a month but would progressively get worse, requiring more restarts to fix the problem.

About a week ago it happened again but this time around, the problem would not be fixed by just restarting it. I ended up doing a factory restart hoping that it would fix the problem but it has not. About two or three times the problem has been temporarily fixed (wifi would come back) but if I closed the screen, then the next time I opened it, it would be gone.

I did some troubleshooting myself but have not been able to fix the problem. I found this video regarding MSI laptops having wireless failure (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtKpK8Iy7yI) but it did not work for me (I had to keep restarting until the wireless finally came back temporarily to be able to access the adapter). The wireless adapter is currently gone (http://imgur.com/epbwFG5) but I've tried deleting other ones and then scanning for hardware changes but it doesn't make it appear again. Plugging in the ethernet cable does indeed give it internet access but it's a laptop so having wireless is crucial.

I haven't messed around with downloading drivers to it (I'm not sure which ones I should download and then what to do after that) and am sure that buying an external wireless adapter will fix the problem, but I'm really hoping that its just a software problem instead of the wireless adapter being busted. Any help would be very much appreciated!
