any last minute recommendations for this build?

I know I didn't list a GPU. I want to put an AMD RX 480 into it when it comes out which Seems like a great card. I mostly want to be doing 1080p gaming on High or close to High settings and play games like Witcher 3 shadow of mordor Dark Souls 3 etc.. Any recommendations , or does it look pretty decent ? the budget is around $800.

Looks good. I would recommend going with 16 GB of RAM if you can afford to do so. It won't be much more than what you're paying for the 8 GB. RAM is pretty cheap these days.

There is also this MSI Z170A Pro which would allow to to run higher frequency RAM for gaming. However, you have to give up the upgraded sound (1150 codec) which is on the Gigabyte.
