I'm looking to buy a "Intel Core i7-4790K" and was wondering if it was compatible with my Z97S SLI Krait Edition motherboard. Thanks in advance.

If you leave the 4790K at stock, you'll be gaining around 12% more CPU power. With a really great OC, you might get 20%.

12% more CPU power, in a completely CPU-bottlenecked situation, would turn 20fps in 22.4fps.

The problem is more than Arma3 doesn't run well on anything, because it uses a poorly-coded game engine.

Honestly, no. There's not much out there that's worth upgrading from a 4770 to.

It might be worthwhile if you can line up a buyer for your 4770 and end up spending very little to do it, but you're probably not going to be able to tell the two CPUs apart.
