hi guys, im planning to update my bios because i get some crashes once every 2-3 days like that then i go to the main asus website and checked my board and i saw that they have update for bios which includes system stability, my board is ASUS H110M-D can someone teach me how to update? like should i rename the bios file or the usb needs fat32 like that, btw i live in philippine its kinda rainy here and power sucks so im scared of updating it. but my motherboard supports asus crashfree bios 3 so should i worried of updating it? does asus crashfree bios 3 really works if you bricked your board? thank you so much please help

Solution
Yes it would be best to start with BIOS at default state and of course you will have to set some things in BIOS once update finishes. May be for best to write down any settings changes you did to BIOS. I also always disconnect any drives prior to BIOS update so only USB shows up in the list. Until BIOS actually starts upgrading there's no much risk as it should reject to update if anything is wrong till than. Just keep calm and don't interrupt process until it finishes even if it looks like it's taking long time.

https://www.asus.com/ph/support/FAQ/1012815/ i found this on faq, this shows how to update bios in asus ez flash 3 which my board supports it. but it doesnt say that i should rename it or etc etc. so should i follow this? or the manual is better? cuz i cant find english version of it

As far as I can see, BIOS file comes in a zip file, you just need to unzip it to preferably empty USB drive formatted to Fat32.
Just for test I downloaded last BIOS file "H110M-D-D3-ASUS-1802.zip" , when unzipped it produced file "H110M-D-D3-ASUS-1802.CAP" which should be file BIOS recognizes as such. That's the one to copy to USB.
Btw. I found full manual in English here: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H110M-D-D3/HelpDesk_Manual/ 11th from top.

again, thank you so much sir for the help. btw last, my board is not h110m-d not the d-d3 version but i think its just the same right?

Searching for both designations brought me to same page at Asus site so it's most probably same thing. Anyway, BIOS will reject file that is not right for it. There's also an option to update BIOS thru internet, if you trust it of course. It has to be connected to router/modem by cable not WiFi to work like that.

last question again sir, so i follow the manual or ez flash utility 3 instruction i just want to clear things properly because im really scared updating bios, so the usb must be in fat 32/16, bios should be rom or cap file, do i need to clear cmos or reset to default settings before updating?
