I live in India and Have a 3 story house of 4000 Sq.Feet , I want to cover all 3 floors , and I am going to mount a router which is suitable for it in passage. So I need a wifi router which would cover all three floors , with any speed above 150 MBPS . If possible I want it below 30 USD mostly ( 2000 INR ) Thanks

alright , look these fixed antennas also have a vertical polarization which means that they send signal both Vertically and horizontally so if you install it on the 2nd floor it would be good. and the range and reviews you are talking about, no one can say for sure , because signaling is all about environment and conditions , just like the speed of the AP , theoretically it can transmit 300 Mbps but in real world you get a maximum of 150 - 170 Mbps. so it's the same in signals when they say it's going to cover X the X is a theoretical number that they calculated based on the transition power of the AP not considering walls or any interference from other aps and so on... , but don't worry it'll cover the space you want just install it...

No, you wouldn't be able to supply 150mb of WiFi through a 5,000 sq. ft. house for under $30. For $300-400 you could probably supply a 3-story home for around 150mb with the 6-8 antenna, beamforming, MIMO routers available now.

Realistically, you need at least 3 routers/access points to accomplish your goal - one per floor. The signal strength from omnidirectional antennas forms a donut, not a sphere. That is, they have great range to the sides, but very short range up and down. High gain antennas are even worse - they increase horizontal strength at the cost of vertical. So putting one router on the 2nd floor won't work as well as you'd expect.

You *might* be able to do it with a single hemispherical antenna in the middle of the 1st floor facing up (or 3rd floor facing down). But given the size your house, I have to think the Wattage the router can put out simply won't be enough for complete coverage.

The 150+ Mbps requirement is also a problem, as only the highest-end (wide band) 802.11n on 2.4 GHz can achieve that. 5 GHz 802.11ac can easily hit faster speeds, but being 5 GHz it won't travel as well through walls, so the extremities of your house won't be as well covered or won't be covered at all.

Basically you'll need to throw a lot more money at this problem, or learn to live with much smaller coverage.

I dont have any problem if I don't get signal on the third floor, , Would this be good ? http://www.amazon.in/TP-LINK-TL-WR841N-300Mbps-Wireless-Router/dp/B001FWYGJS?tag=googinhydr18418-21&tag=googinkenshoo-21&ascsubtag=ffc9d6b0-211f-4948-89d3-576edd7baf39 ?Would not have any problem if I dont get full 150 mbps , in all areas , my requirement is only actually for Internet but Sometimes I transfer Files so was asking for it , Anyways , no problem for file transfer . Would be good Even if I get 24 Mbps

Thanks for the help iXeon but I checked its Reviews , and Question and answers on amazon , In it some reviews are bad, it said it has less coverage , than A dlink Dir 600M , and in question and answers too it was , siad as not that good for much range. Thanks For the help I would still try surfing the internet . And Is this good as said in the description http://www.amazon.in/Wireless-Router-Range-Extender-Environment/dp/B00QB9SPU6?tag=googinhydr18418-21&tag=googinkenshoo-21&ascsubtag=ffc9d6b0-211f-4948-89d3-576edd7baf39

I am not much experienced about the Wireless things , so needed help and I am extremely sorry , I had posted it 5000 square feet house , its 4000 square feet house. As per me The Asus one is the best?

Well the Asus RT-N12 you mentioned looking good, it supports 2X2 MIMO which could extend the range by sending two stream of signals one for send and other for receive. but there's a thing , this is just a wireless range extender not a Modem so if you already have a modem it need to be connected to this AP either via cable or wireless, so consider that.and it's not dual band so you wouldn't get any 5G speed.

I already have an other modem , which would be connecting to it in the wan port , Just i had one question about it , as it has 5 dbi atennas , will it be able to cover through walls , or only give speed?, I am not wll experinced in its signal , and speed, so please tell if I am saying anything wrong. Thanks

Well as i said it uses 2X2 MIMO , this technology can provide a better cover in places that have obstacles in between the AP and client. and what i saw in the detail it uses 2 FIXED 5 db which means you would have better signal on the angle you set the antennas on that angle , it's not like Omni-directional that would spread the signal in 360 degree , instead it focus the signal in to a specific angle and i think that would be good for you , however that what a fixed antenna means.
